"Please dad, let me take the picture". When I went on vacations with my family, I was very much interested in taking photographs while traveling across the country. I never once considered being a photographer professionally until I began getting requests from people to cover events for them. Apparently my photographs were becoming in demand. In 1984 I covered my first wedding for a co-worker. I was hooked. Soon the word spread and I was on my way to becoming a self-sustaining professional photographer. Doctor's hospital needed to have someone to document the medical history of burn patients and with my Bachelors of Biology and my photography interests, it was the job for me. I worked shooting family/wedding events while covering the burn unit. Soon I was overwhelmed doing both and left the burn unit to concentrate solely on my own photography business. For over 20 years, I have worked hard and yet I have enjoyed every single minute of being able to capture the memories in a unique and exciting way for my customers. The most common comment I receive about my pricing is that people are surprised that I don't charge more.
